Canada’s Self-Employed Persons Program
As part of the Federal Entrepreneur program, athletes and professionals in arts and culture need to demonstrate their ability to find gainful employment in order to be eligible for immigration into Canada under this program. These individuals are likely to make a significant contribution to athletics or arts and culture within Canada.
The applicant must have at least two years’ experience in their field at a world-class level to be considered. Aside from the self-employed program, these people may want to apply through the Canada Permanent Residence program as self-employed individuals.
