Student Direct Stream

Potential international students to Canada who are legal residents and of a number of countries (including China, India, Pakistan and Trinidad and Tobago) may be eligible for faster application processing through Student Direct Stream. This program provides for processing times of (currently) about 20 calendar days. If the potential student is a citizen, but doesn’t reside in one of the countries, they will need to apply through the standard study application process. 

There are a number of eligibility requirements as well as living in one of the designated countries. Some are: having an acceptance letter from a post-secondary institution recognized by the Canadian government, language test results, proof of paid tuition and having a guaranteed investment certificate of $10,000.
